At ADOLPH JOHNSON & SON CO. safety is more than complying with rules and standards – it is about our fellow workers, people we care about, not getting injured.

Our jobsite managers have the OSHA 30 safety hour training. Most of our field personnel have had the 10 hour OSHA safety training course. In addition, our people are trained in special safety related issues

Such as:

  • Infectious Disease Control

  • Lead Paint Hazards

  • Confined Space

  • Power Equipment Operation

  • Fall Protection

  • Lock out – tag out

  • Personal Protective Equipment

  • Safety Data Sheets

  • First Aid

Our jobsite managers make daily safety inspections of the site along with constant monitoring of our crews and subcontractors to ensure safe practices.

Job Box talks are conducted weekly covering a wide variety of safety topics.

Along with in house inspection our sites also receive reviews by our safety consultant to report on any tasks that can or should be performed in a safer manner. If there is a question regarding safety the jobsite managers know how to get an answer right away by calling the “expert”.

Our focus on safety has produced the desired results of not only an Experience Modification Rate of 0.47 (for 2015) but most importantly our people are not getting hurt.
